Crawford Group ( ) is in search of an experienced Product Rendering Artist consultant who has excellent artistic and technical ability and can work locally at our client’s Silicon Valley Studio. This is a part-time, project basis opportunity!

As the Product Rendering Artist you will have the responsibility to create photo-realistic renders for a wide range of different products. You will visualize products at a level where you will not be able to distinguish them from real-life or photography.

In this role you will be an integral part of a global multidisciplinary team. Working closely with art directors, producers, and designers, you will have a key role in delivering dynamic product and environmental imagery for packaging, web, and creative assets used worldwide.

Work with Design teams to generate exceptional product renderings.

Work with Producers to evaluate the requirements of a project and estimate schedule.

Participate in review and approval meetings by clarifying direction and goals.

Bring your innovation to our designs & content.

Hard Surface Modelling, UVW Unwrapping and Shader & Texturing.

Work through rounds of feedback to refine images into polished visuals.

Composite render elements/passes and collaborate with retouchers.

Bachelor's degree in Design, Art, Multimedia, Video/Film Production.

3 + years’ experience in a design or corporate industry in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Relevant samples and/or portfolio available for review. A portfolio or showreel that demonstrates your relevant experience, particularly with consumer electronic products.

Excellent visual library of well resolved product lighting.

Proficient in the following software: 3DS Max, Vray GPU, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects.

Understand how to create photorealistic shaders that accurately match the CMF specification.

Understand how to resolve lighting treatments for different types of product.

Strong art fundamentals in composition, color, lighting and shape.

Ability to animate rendered items into a motion video.

A strong communicator who’s able share technical concepts with non-technical people clearly.

Well-organized and able to handle multiple assignments with varying deadlines.

Nice to have: Substance Designer, HDR Light Studio, Unreal Engine, FStorm.

Location: Onsite in Newark.

Pay: D.O.E.

Duration: Freelance, project basis.
