Job Summary:

We have an excellent opportunity to join our San Jose team! We are currently seeking a Driver Relations Manager. The incumbent will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our driver operations and the customer experience. As our Driver Relations Manager, you will enjoy working on a variety of tasks from managing, training and coordinating drivers to handling driver safety and relations, a key component of the job.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train approximately 25 drivers on best practices including efficiency and safety.
  • Perform driver ride along as needed.
  • Schedule driver routes to insure customer orders are met timely and accurately.
  • Assist with customer site surveys and “delivery walk through” with new customers.
  • Check delivery vehicles for cleanliness and operational supplies daily.
  • Insure compliance and flow of Driver Vehicle Information Reports.
  • Review driver safety scores weekly and discuss performance with drivers as needed to insure best possible safety practices.
  • Lead safety meetings and interview new driver candidates.
  • Conduct incident investigations and review of accidents, injuries, and spills.
  • Communicate fleet maintenance needs to Fleet Manager in a timely manner.
  • Respond to Customers calls as needed

Requirements:

  • Three to five years in operations, managing employees
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to teach others
  • Some experience with routing, scheduling and logistics software
  • Ability to operate equipment for training purposes
  • Ability to work 9 AM to 6 PM Monday-Friday.
