The primary purpose of this position is to be an Investment expert for the LATAM CDS Region, with great focus on partnership with the local MS controllers, variance analysis, planning & forecasting for short-term and long-term spends. The controller supports the business and the CDS Finance Lead in developing and reporting on all aspects of Opex and Revenue Adjustments including headcount, external resources, marketing spend and Compliance.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Management

CDS Investment Controller must be able to work effectively in a matrix organization – understanding and fostering interactions between the subsidiary and Corporate HQ team’s including Compliance, as well as within the sales, marketing and business group teams locally.
Be an active participant within the WW CDS Controller community.
Helps institute balanced decision making, driving the business to identify both risk and opportunity. Acts as a good steward of the business by acting as the conscience of the company and approaches problems with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Does not just work within established process but recognizes opportunities to fundamentally improve how we operate and acts as an agent of change, using both formal and informal authority to mobilize others.

Drives Finance & Business Excellence

Fully accountable for driving effective and efficient financial processes (Close, forecast, budget) resulting in timely analysis of results, accurate forecast and aggressive but achievable targets.
Lead responsibility for managing the CDS Rhythm of Business (ROB) planning and execution, including management of RAS support team in India.
Coordinate with Corp HQ on worldwide projects and influence process improvements.
Ensure teams are aware of and follow corporate policies and compliance needs related to sales and marketing activities.
Proven ability to look beyond the numbers. Effective at cultivating diverse data outlets and connecting the information into a cohesive qualitative story. Ability to objectively formulate opinions and defend viewpoints with business partners instead of just reporting out what partners think.
Challenges existing norms or courses of action, facilitating fully informed decision-making. Creates constructive friction by fearlessly asking the right questions and challenging assumptions.
MBP Management: IO and Initiative creation, Quarterly forecast and Budget Allocation within regions as well as shifts among products in alignment with local team´s Marketing execution.

Analyze trends & carry out investigations to assist management decision-making and improve understanding of issues such as return on investments and resource alignment.
Positively impact the business by effectively managing the P&L:
Effective usage of rebates and channel incentives
Making trade-offs between top line and bottom line growth
Understanding partner profitability models
Understand and drive effective management of software channel inventory

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

At least 5 years’ experience within a business environment, ideally in Consumer business
Accounting Qualification preferred
Degree preferred
Effective Communicator - Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to flex up and down and organization structure
Ability to work in matrix organization, dealing with ambiguity
Influence skills to drive effective decision-making by business partners
Strong analytical Skills
