Title of Position: Intelligence Systems Analyst- Associate
Description of Position:
Performs analytical work in support of testing, evaluation, and certification of Information Technology/National Security Systems (IT/NSS) related to military intelligence and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR).
Test and evaluation (T&E) areas include developmental, operational, standards conformance, enterprise, and interoperability. Incorporates DoD and Intelligence Community interoperability directives and instructions in all test and evaluation (T&E) processes.

A T&E analyst follows and applies common T&E processes that include: identify requirements, verify user needs, develop evaluation approach, collect data, analyze data, and report on findings.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates IT system operations.
Reviews and analyzes blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
Must be able to review, analyze, and interpret customer information.
Solicits intelligence system requirements and associated operational environments to produce an evaluation approach that supports T&E objectives.
Shares and briefs T&E project milestones to all levels of stakeholders.
Conducts and may oversee testing of processes and products.
Responsible for the design and implementation of test procedures to determine if standards and criteria are met.
Recommends adjustments to the T&E process or detailed procedures if appropriate.
Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements; conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation.
Relies on manual methods and automated test tools to execute the cybersecurity assessment and collect data.
Inspects, tests, and measures data that is produced or consumed.
Must be able to document, notify, brief, and discuss results.
Records all initial findings and documents final test results in a designated formal report.
Accounts for anomalies and errors found in testing, notifies customers and management, and may help analyze and/or correct problems.
Must be familiar with a variety of intelligence/ISR concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Works under general supervision.
Typically reports to a project leader, supervisor, or manager.
Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations.
Education and Experience Required:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a directly related curriculum from an accredited institution and at least eight (8) years of experience in a directly related field, or a Master’s degree in a directly related curriculum from an accredited institution and at least five (5) years of experience in a directly related field. One year of experience can be substituted by fifiten (15) semester hours completed towards a Master’s degree in a directly related curriculum. Two (2) years of experience can be substituted by completion of a Master’s degree in a directly related field. Additional certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.
Acceptable degree specialties include but are not limited to the following: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, and various engineering and science disciplines.
This labor category may also include personnel who provide technical testing, analytical, and management support in areas of intelligence and ISR where knowledge and skills are gained primarily through unique formal education, specialized training, and operational assignments requiring access to sensitive or classified information and systems. General experience, training, and/or certifications for this category are concentrated in various intelligence disciplines, ISR systems and platforms, and multi-disciplined intelligence processes. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to the following intelligence disciplines and fields: Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), All-Source Intelligence Analysis, and Counter Intelligence (CI).
For the purpose of evaluating qualifications under this labor category, one week of certified intelligence systems or intelligence processes training at a DoD or Service school equals 40 course hours of completed training (8 hours per day). Intelligence training can be validated by presenting the appropriate certificate(s) or course completion record from a DoD Military Service intelligence school that lists the course duration in either hours, days, or weeks.
Examples of Government or industry training include, but are not limited to, Defense Acquisition University Test and Evaluation Level 1/2/3 certification and United States Federal or DoD school training and certification on a specific system, network, or technology.
This labor category includes personnel who provide IT support in areas where capabilities may be gained primarily through extensive on-the-job experience, specialized formal Government training, or institutional training and certification. On-the-job experience must be in specific IT fields. Examples of Government or industry training include but are not limited to United States Federal or DoD school training and certification on a specific system, network, or technology.
U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
