Summary: Under general to limited supervision, conducts critical analysis research, develops or modifies strategic plans and implements/evaluates programs in an assigned specialty area, particularly related to Partnership Development, Community Health Involvement Planning (CHIP) and Implementation, Health Equity, and Program Evaluation. Prepares reports and presentations, and works with clients, partners, outside vendors, and management to develop or implement policies and programs in a manner that addresses community needs and agency standards. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas counties.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR completion of 90 quarter hours (60 semester hours) at an accredited college or university AND two years of related experience OR one year of experience required at the lower level Planner 1 (GSP050) or position equivalent. Note: an equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Preference will be given to applicants with experience in project/program management; program evaluation; health improvement planning; health equity; policy/procedure development; communications; knowledge of information systems; experience in assuring the quality of data collected; ability to develop new insights and/or ability to recognize opportunities to help the organization accomplish its objectives.
Salary Information: $18 per hour / up to 29 hours weekly
