Noble is Chicago’s highest-performing and largest network of public charter high schools. Our 18 schools and 1,400 employees currently serve over 12,300 students, 98% of whom are students of color, 89% low-income, and 83% first-generation college goers. The School Quality and Rating Policy scores for the Chicago Public Schools rated Noble campuses as ten of the top fifteen public high schools in the city. We believe our people are the most valuable asset in preparing our students to be successful in college and lead exemplary lives. 99% of Noble students are accepted into college and almost 90% choose to enroll, resulting in over 6,200 Noble alumni who have received or are currently pursuing a 4-year college degree.
Who We're Seeking
Noble is now in its 20th year and has graduated more than 15,000 students since its founding in 1999. Across the Network, over 20 staff are currently supporting over 6,200 of these graduates as they persist in college around the country. However, thousands of our graduates are not currently enrolled in college and do not have their bachelor’s degrees. We launched a new program in 2019 to provide college access and intensive supports to these alumni. This program, called Noble Forward, is a partnership with Southern New Hampshire University. The Recruitment and Enrollment Associate will be responsible for enrolling and onboarding students in an online, competency-based college program, with the objective of advising students on program offerings and expectations, supporting students in navigating financial aid as well as working alongside coaches to ensure students successfully complete the onboarding period. The REA builds and maintains meaningful student relationships, develops a strong knowledge of the program and tests innovative strategies to meet enrollment goals.
Candidates will be service oriented, comfortable with data, and have a sense of humor.
Candidates should have:
A Bachelor’s degree
1-3 years experience working in a high functioning, fast-paced organization
A belief that all students can succeed in college and life
An understanding of the college financial aid process and barriers to enrollment
Experience in college admissions, recruitment or sales and working with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and common social media applications (Salesforce, Mail Chimp, Facebook, Twitter etc.) is highly desirable
Ability to build genuine, empathetic and supportive relationships while maintaining high expectations for students
A data-driven mindset with a history of aggressively delivering measurable results
The discipline to self-manage, self-reflect and the hunger to continuously improve
Flexibility around scheduling and travel, including willingness and ability to work some evening and weekend hours and travel between neighborhoods in Chicago
