Our Finance Business Intelligence (BI) team is driving the finance strategy to build an automated, standardized, self-serve reporting platform that provide leaders with easy access to financial data and generates insights at their fingertips. Our goal is to unleash financial insights to empower leaders across Expedia Group (EG) to make intelligent, strategic business decisions and drive EG growth.

The Finance BI team is in search of an analytical and highly motivated Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who can design and build high quality BI solutions that delight our customers. We are seeking a creative leader who utilizes design thinking concepts while building effective data visualizations to drive business decision making. You will work closely with technology and business partners in a collaborative environment to build scalable and effective business intelligence products.

What you'll do

Collaborate with key partners to gather business & functional requirements and create low-fidelity prototypes to enable alignment and drive development efforts
Develop effective data visualization solutions that provide relevant insights to address business needs
Partner with the data engineering team to design and implement scalable, automated solutions
Lead and execute data quality & functional testing efforts
Perform data analysis and discover and present insights to leadership on core business questions
Manage team inbox communications and 1st level of triage of issues / requests for operational products
Collaborate with team members to define project plan, key milestones, and groom stories, and ensure delivery to project timelines through utilizing agile methodology & tools
Cultivate effective relationships and collaborate with the business, technology, program management, and other partner teams
Who you are

5+ years in business intelligence, reporting, and/or analytical roles
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, Master’s preferred
Advanced experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc
Proven ability to drive requirements elicitation and practice the design thinking lifecycle
Experience with relational and dimensional datasets, data warehouses, and ETL techniques to deliver BI solutions.
Solid experience with SQL; experience of scripting language (Python or JavaScript) a plus
Finance experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrable ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of partners
Analytical problem solver, strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
A passion for understanding the customer perspective and using data to drive better decision-making
Ability to lead projects and processes independently
Passionate to make things better at every opportunity and challenge the status quo
