Zicasso is seeking a Digital Asset Manager to further enhance the stunning visuals of our award-winning luxury travel website. This is an employee (not contractor) position.
As a Digital Asset Manager, you’ll work directly with Photo Editors and the Marketing team to organize, help source and edit beautiful travel (destination) photos that inspire, engage, and excite our website visitors - when a user clicks through our website, a good result would be to have him/her continually exclaim, “Wow, I wanna travel there!”
The ideal candidate has experience operating within a digital asset management (DAM) system, a passion for photography, an eye for detail, and a love for travel (and has traveled extensively around the world).
Primary responsibility: Organize and manage internal digital assets (uploading, keyword tagging and taxonomy, track and validate metadata), maintain DAM system for optimal performance and help develop workflows to leverage automation that will help internal teams work smarter through technology.
Secondary responsibility: Assist Photo Editors with sourcing and identifying licensable photos, editing (cropping and retouching utilizing Photoshop and Lightroom) photos for Zicasso website.
Learn and apply the visual identity standards of the Zicasso brand.
Collaborate with the marketing team to produce marketing materials such as: press releases, newsletters, brochures, digital ads, etc. as needed.
Apply SEO tags and captions as needed
Support design and marketing team with other duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualities
Must have traveled internationally to multiple countries, so you are familiar with travel highlights at different countries
1+ years experience working with a Digital Asset Management System
3+ years of professional experience in image retouching, editing, and/or photography
Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge
Desirable: Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro, InDesign
Proficiency on a Mac
Must have clear understanding of proper image formatting, editing, and enhancing techniques
Must have clear understanding of photo licensing, usage without copyright infringement, and different types of image usage (e.g. commercial vs editorial, etc.)
Must have a keen eye for travel photography and videos
Highly motivated and enthusiastic; ready and willing to put in extra effort in a start-up environment to drive company success
Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
Have project “ownership” mentality
Detail-oriented and strives to achieve quality, error-free work
