Meta’s Sustainability team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company and with our partners. We seek an experienced teammate to lead our energy and fuel solution for suppliers. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing the strategy to support Meta’s key suppliers in reducing their operational (Scope 1 and 2) GHG emissions and achieving their renewable energy goals. This role will partner with suppliers, internal teams and other external stakeholders to implement the strategy as part of Meta delivering on its 2030 goal to achieve net zero emissions in its value chain.
- Engage with and influence suppliers to set robust operational emissions reduction and renewable energy goals

Analyze supplier data by sector and geography and develop strategy to support Meta’s key suppliers in achieving these goals. Work directly with suppliers to support them in achieving these goals

Design and implement solutions to increase adoption of energy efficiency measures and low/no-carbon fuels and refrigerants among key suppliers

Collaborate with Meta’s Energy team to deliver renewable energy solutions for key suppliers

Partner with internal stakeholders to implement strategy, including building solutions, training content, processes, and tools

Engage with external partners to build solutions that are scalable and effective

Ability to travel (10%)

Undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Energy, or Sustainability

Working knowledge of GHG accounting principles and methods

Experience playing coordination and/or leadership roles in building partnerships with internal stakeholders in a corporate environment

Technical knowledge of solutions to decarbonize Scope 1 and 2 emissions (e.g. renewable energy, energy efficiency, low/no-carbon fuels and refrigerants)

Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating with internal interdisciplinary teams as well as external stakeholders

Flexible, entrepreneurial spirit with experience influencing across an organization with indirect authority

A self-starter, with a proven experience to diplomatically resolve issues through understanding conflicting inputs, achieving alignment, and proposing go-forward solutions

Master’s degree in related field (e.g. MBA, Master’s in Environmental Science, Energy, or Sustainability)

Experience engaging suppliers directly in reducing operational emissions

Familiarity in industry and geography challenges and opportunities in low/no-carbon energy, fuels and refrigerants
