Full-time position available with the City Planning & Development Department, Development Management Division located at 414 E. 12th St.
Salary Range: $19.82 - $33.55/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Works closely with the Long Range Planning & Preservation Division and is primarily responsible for implementation of the city’s long range plans, the zoning and development code, and other adopted city policies and regulations. Reviews proposed development projects and makes recommendations on such developments to appointed and elected boards and committees. Utilizes professional expertise to work with the general public and a variety of city departments and external agencies in reviewing and making these recommendations. Assists or takes the lead on special projects as assigned.
REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in planning; OR an accredited Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional experience in community, urban or regional planning work. Preference given to candidates with an accredited Master’s degree in urban planning, urban design, and landscape architecture; or an accredited Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, urban design, or landscape architecture with two or more years of experience in city planning. Candidates graduating in May/June 2018 with an accredited Master’s degrees in planning will be conditionally accepted based on anticipated graduation date.
