About the Position:

SJV & Associates is seeking highly motivated individuals with data entry experience to join our Record Processing team.

A Processing Specialist Apprentice (PSA) is required to perform certain daily functions processing criminal and civil records, in order to facilitate those processes that are necessary to meet our client’s needs. The required time in title is 90 Days. A Records Processor Apprentice (First 90 Days) and Records Processor Level 1 (After successful completion of 90 Days) is responsible for entering criminal and civil case information in accordance with Client Special Instructions and State guidelines.

We are looking for Monday-Friday, part-time (20+ hours/week) candidates. The following Shifts are Available:

  • Mon-Fri – 8am-12pm, 1pm-5pm and 5pm-9pm (PT)
  • Tues-Sat – 8am-12pm (PT)

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry – ability to input data into the SJV CMS system
  • Record Processing - Pursuing and formatting record information for our clients
  • Web Support – ability to post data and retrieve data from various web sites.
  • Apprentice (PS-A) may be required to perform additional tasks as are necessary for the operations of SJV.
  • At end of 90 days, PS-A must be trained on a minimum of 6 states, or a number of states that would account for 50% of team’s volume. Also must be consistently performing at a rate of 8 subjects closed per hour while maintaining the department’s quality objective.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a typing test of 45wpm with 90% accuracy
  • Must have basic knowledge of computer functions with the ability to be trained to utilize office equipment and software
  • Complete introductory training
  • Complete company orientation
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Criminal Record Terminology and Court Processes a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to occasionally move about the office to access office equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to constantly operate office equipment such as a keyboard, phone, computer, copier, fax machine and printer, etc.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with and listen to other SJV employees and vendors
  • Must be able to occasionally move, bend, lift, push, pull and carry no more than 20 pounds
  • Must be able to view multiple monitors for extended periods of time and visually determine accuracy, details and transcribe date in close proximity of computer software
