Job Description

As our Interior Designer, you will provide design services to CWC sales staff and clients. These services include furniture specifications, development of AutoCAD furniture plans using CAP 20/20 software, space planning, client meetings, site inventory/ measurement verifications, fabric/ finish selections, presentation boards and furniture installation documents. A CWC Designer works as part of the Design Team, interacting with various departments to ensure successful project implementation and exceptional client experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches workplace requirements, analyzes space/ furniture needs and obtains all necessary details to produce furniture plans and specifications
  • Develops furniture drawings for specification and installation that meet fire and ADA codes and conform to client requirements
  • Develops installation documents such as furniture plans which provide aisle dimensions, office / station numbers and specific details which pertain to the project
  • Produces furniture specifications pertaining to certain areas of a project which aide in staging the furniture prior to installation
  • Develops block and space plans for client approvals
  • Develops and presents color/ finish boards and selections for client approval
  • Develops power entry location plans for system furniture projects

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills
  • Must be extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must possess a positive attitude and a sense of urgency
