About the job
Google's line of products and services to clients never stops growing. Strategic Partner Managers have the rare opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with our top partners. You cultivate these existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of Google's ever-growing suite of offerings. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to best represent our users, products and programs.

The Media and Entertainment group within Global Partnerships focuses on enabling third-party media partners to build and grow innovative content experiences on Android, Chrome, and Google Play.

As a Business Development manager on the Partnerships team, you will work directly with a large, diverse portfolio of app partners to drive product integrations with Google’s mobile, living room and emerging surfaces (e.g., auto, VR/AR), and discover innovative partners and areas of growth for users and the platform. You will use your knowledge of content distribution, business acumen, and product/platform expertise to develop tailored strategies to advance partner and vertical/platform goals. You have a team-first working style and possess strong partnership-building skills, exceptional negotiation and analytical abilities and a deep passion for media and content.

Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

Manage a large and diverse portfolio of partners through a “one-to-many” scaled model, applying various service levels to partners and segments within the category. Build strategic growth plans with partners as necessary.
Drive comprehensive and evolving vertical strategy and identify creative growth tactics (e.g., partnership programs, deals, etc.) to advance category overall.
Employ a data-driven approach to category and partner management, focusing on both user and business metrics.
Identify macro and micro trends within the category and market, translating various signals into well-reasoned, actionable business, and product strategies. Advocate plans and category with cross-functional teams to inform roadmaps, priorities, and planning.
Apply deep platform expertise to the broad portfolio through an on-going knowledge of Google Play and Android products and Media and Entertainment (M&E) category goals.
