Spearheads all internal Store Planning operations, with an emphasis in store prototype development, spatial analytics, and operational systems. Acts as liaison between Store Planning and Building Services, Construction, Fixture Design, IT, Legal, Loss Prevention, Safety and Strategic Business Development departments and external engineering consultants
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
20% Accountable for all departmental policies, processes, and operational standards, including CAD standards, drawing file management, drawing punch lists, spatial calculation guidelines, and pallet rack/cantilever standards.
20% Oversees the development and implementation of all operational systems including sustainable tools for providing business research information, macro space analysis and reporting, CAD and other software and hardware
10% Creates and maintains divisional prototype layouts used in determining optimal space allocation in store layout projects. Provides tactical drawing guidelines for Store Planners and conducts periodic quality control audits of store layouts
20% Leads research and reporting efforts related to spatial productivity analysis. Conducts research and communicates information related to building codes, safety/fire protection and ADA regulations
10% Partners with Construction to address all building and construction matters, including site development, feasibility studies, building cost-out measures, fire and building codes, regulations and permitting. Addresses all legal, loss prevention and tax department inquiries as it relates to store layouts.
20% Collaborates with architects to develop construction documents, design bulletins, and proto directives. Selects, directs and develops a high performing staff that ensures exceptional results and timely delivery of desired objectives. Frequently manages multiple operational objectives simultaneously.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
