Duties
Summary
This position is part of the Region II, Selective Service System. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing organizational budgets; performing a range of administrative management support functions (e.g., travel administration, logistics, timekeeping, etc.); analyzing administrative program support functions; and identifying areas of improvement in administrative operations, programs, and/or work processes.

Responsibilities
As a Administrative Officer at the GS-0341-12 ,some of your typical work assignments may include:

Act as budget officer/analyst for the region in formulating, justifying, revising, executing, and managing the Region Headquarters' budget.
Perform effective human resource and personnel management practices for both civilian and military staff assigned to the Region Headquarters.
Perform a variety of purchasing and contractual functions.
Provide management/program analysis, and/or other special projects.
Execute logistics and office service functions such as property, space, and record management.
Plan and conduct Region training conferences and staff meetings.

Qualifications

At least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must include performing duties related to planning, executing, and managing organizational budgets; performing a range of administrative management support functions (e.g., travel administration, logistics, contracts, human resources, time keeping, etc.); and analyzing administrative program support functions and identifying areas of improvement. In addition, working with detachment commanders or other military members for recruiting and assigning new military personnel, resolving military orders, and creating pay and travel requests. Experience should also include monitoring military records of reserve or national guard service members, completing military assignment paperwork and initiating military request for assignment paperwork, e.g., training orders and pay and travel request. This experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
