H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in New York City, NY seeks an entry level Staff Engineer to join our team. This position provides excellent growth opportunity for professionals to work with a team of engineers/architects on a variety of projects in the public and private sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Structural design of low rise buildings, concrete tanks and vessels for water/wastewater facilities, marine bulkheads, and other miscellaneous structures.
- Developing of construction drawings and design specifications for public bid.
- Working with other engineering and architecture disciplines during planning, design and construction administration phases of projects.
- Inspection and analysis of existing structures.
- Preparation of client letters and reports.
- Budget tracking.
Education and Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- EIT preferred.
- Knowledge of ETABS, STAAD.Pro preferred.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Motivated and driven self-starter!
The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 annually.
