The Role:
rewardStyle is seeking a confident and creative attorney to serve as Counsel on our legal team in our Dallas office. This full-time position will work with a wide variety of teams across the company. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team with a fast paced and dynamic company.

General Responsibilities:
Assist the General Counsel in providing the company with legal counsel, representation and leadership on a variety of issues, including but not limited to transactions, corporate governance, intellectual property, and compliance. Focus on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and support the company’s overall business functions to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and international laws, rules, and regulations.

Specific Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiation of major commercial contracts, including licensing, sales, strategic partnership, collaboration, research, marketing, development, nondisclosure, and consulting agreements in line with Company objectives.

Draft and revise technology platform based terms of service and privacy policies.

Provide support and guidance on corporate policies and procedures such as open source management policy, contract authorization policy, authorized signatory policy, etc.

Support and administer the company’s IP portfolio

Develop and implement corporate policies and procedures in accordance with applicable compliance and regulatory areas, including global data privacy laws.

Support legal needs of all business units globally, including sales, marketing, engineering, product development, operations and several international offices.

Engage with stakeholders to manage legal elements of product evolution and offerings.

Qualifications:
J.D. with strong academic credentials and state bar membership (Texas preferred)
3-5 years of law firm or in house experience
General understanding of commercial and corporate law.
Must have experience with maintaining a corporate IP portfolio, and ideally have experience managing and maintaining trademark and patent portfolios.
Ideally have experience with employment law and general corporate policies and procedures.
Ideally have familiarity with data privacy compliance requirements.
Must be highly organized, able to manage projects independently and effectively prioritize workload
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to become a trusted advisor to stakeholders based on accurate and detail oriented legal and business judgment
