VCU Health System's RAM Care department is seeking a full time Program Manager. Serves as the Program Manager on programs for the VCU Health System. Collaborates with organizational leader to provide clear program vision, value and deliverables to achieve Health System goals and ROI. Partners with business stakeholders to develop clear program plans, identify and execute project portfolio within program, define program metrics and report on program status and results. Serves as the senior lead on programs utilizing advanced performance improvement tools and facilitation to manage multiple projects within a program and across the entire enterprise.


Responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects and ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective.
Develops overall program charter to establish program expectations and to serve as a communication tool for key stakeholder buy-in.
Applies best practices in program management and lean six sigma methodologies to support business case and maximize ROI. Assists in project selection and helps define selection criteria.
Works with constituent project managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program.
Applies cross-functional change management and implementation strategies to ensure all stakeholders and team members are effectively working toward project goals.
Works across functional lines and at many levels to execute program objectives.
Develops program specific operational skills, effective benefits management, and economies of scale through education and experience.
Develops and monitors program and project deadlines, budgets and activities. Coordinates activities across multiple projects.
Provides effective oversight through all stages of the project life cycle.
Oversees the management of multiple projects with varying priority, timelines and resource requirements. Identifies key project participants and communicates program and project goals and objectives.
Ensures program goals are clearly defined and communicated to senior leadership, department managers and key stakeholders.
Resolves program and projects' scope issues.
Negotiates for project resources.
Serves as a liaison to program and project stakeholders and senior leadership to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.

Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, healthcare management or related degree
Minimum 10 years of progressive responsible positions with 7-8 years in Project Management experience.
PMP certification or equivalent training/experience or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

PMP certification
Master's degree in related field
Experience in a healthcare or university/administration environment managing multiple projects
Experience in PDSA Methodology
