We are seeking anexperienced physicistwith excellentacademic background to help the team achieve the ambitious goals. This positionis located atHoffman Estates, IL.
You will work in the multi-disciplinary team of SPECT Research tosupport our SPECT business. You should have a strong customer focus and passionto understand and address clinical needs in this field. You should becomfortable to take on large and complex problems as an individual contributoror as part of a larger team. In this role you will contribute or lead researchefforts to support future image formation concepts and prototypes using yourability to critically evaluate concepts, design experiments to test theassumptions, components or systems, and to improve on them using bothanalytical skill, but also consider business aspects. It is expected that youhave significant expertise in gamma ray detector instrumentation specificallyand of gamma ray image formation for SPECT instrumentation, in general. Yourexcellent communication skills and expertise will also allow you to providetechnical support to service and marketing teams in addressing customercomplaints and inquiries, and you will collaborate with luminary clinical sitesworldwide to test and validate the new technologies ina clinicalsetting.
Requirements:
- Ph.D.in experimental nuclear physics or nuclear engineering with RTSD experience
- Desiredareas of expertise
oGamma ray detectioninstrumentation and image formation using RTSD
oSimulation Packages:GEANT4 or similar
oMedical Imaging, in particularSPECT.
- Demonstratedability for hands-on bench work in a detector lab
- Demonstratedstrong data analysis skills
- Demonstratedstrong ability to use state-of-the-art computing environment with standardsoftware tools, programming languages, scripting, version control, andefficient operations within Windows and Linux OS is mandatory
- Abilityto communicate with both scientists and non-scientists is essential
