Description & Requirements
This position will report to the Director- Manufacturing - Yield and will work closely with the Plant Management Teams- Procurement- Agriculture- and Logistics- as well as with Continuous Improvement- Finance- Quality- Engineering- and R&D to improve the yield of the plants. The position will be responsible for identifying opportunities to maximize tomato paste yield and for leading the execution of improvement projects.
Work with factory experts and suppliers to optimally distribute tomato paste supply across KHC production sites according to production needs to ensure best production efficiency to achieve KPIs
Gather data- analyze and interpret results for product/process development and support continuous process improvements on yield for tactical as well as strategic long-term projects.
Effectively communicate (both verbally and written) work instructions- yield reports- and roadmaps to drive yield improvement.
Provide training where appropriate to improve over-all capabilities and knowledge.
Develop- test- and document workable procedures presented at a level suitable for the intended users.
Be a technical leader and go to person for product yield data analysis- change control and process flow.
BS/MS in Applied Physics- Materials Science- Electrical Engineering- Mechanical Engineering- Chemical Engineering- or another technical field is strongly preferred.
10 years of industry experience in product or yield engineering- or process integration.
Green belt certified and/or Quality system training and experience.
Ability to summarize yield issues and communicate results to other groups- so that yield issues can be resolved.
Ability to successfully communicate with individuals at all levels of the business and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and problem prevention skills.
Ability to travel as necessary.
Knowledge of tomatoes- tomato processing and tomato paste usage is preferred- but not required.
