Summary:
Manages system development activities of specific applications including system analysis, systems design, and programming in the design and development of new systems or revisions to existing systems. Oversees large-scale projects from conception to completion. Provides planning, consultation, and advisory services on systems development to user departments. Reviews completed work and work in progress for completeness, efficiency, accuracy and adherence to standards. Oversees employee management activities. Recruits, selects, orients, and evaluates department employees. Trains counsels, disciplines, and if necessary, recommends dismissal. Recommends promotions and transfers.
1. Formal Education Required:
a. Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or closely related field. Additional related experience may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the educational requirement
b. Medical-related or business-related courses preferred
2. Experience and Training Required:
a. This position requires seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in application development to include two (2) years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
b. Healthcare experience highly preferred.

e. Ability to understand the application functionality and how it relates to departments while making recommendations for integration into operational flow
f. Knowledge and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, e-mail, and scheduling applications
g. Ability to work well within team environment by: accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback; supporting team goals and encouraging other team members; and collaborating with departmental team members to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods, and/or reduce costs
h. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and financial records
4. Level of Physical Demands:
a) Light: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously
