GSECC is a new center opening soon in Greenwood/Seattle. We are an employee owned cooperative. This means the employees are the owners and manage the business together. We have a director who will over see the day to day and a member elected board made up of the employees from all levels. Employees will vote on policies, changes to the company, pay scales and more. You do not have to become a member to be an employee, you would still have all the same benefits.
We are currently hiring for multiple positions - Lead Teachers for all ages, Support Staff, Assistant Teachers. We are currently hiring for roughly 18 positions. We have flexibility in start dates. We are projecting to open October 2nd.
Our curriculum focus will be social emotional learning and development. All staff will be required to learn and practice conscious discipline and trauma informed care. We will provide multiple group and online trainings on these subjects and provide in classroom training/support.
Our vision is a center that values and supports the staff. While we are a new company, our director has 20 years experience in this field and leads with compassion and empathy. We believe in a work life balance. Our full time staff will work an 8 hour shift with a half hour paid lunch. This is different than most other companies where you will work a 9 hour shift with a 1 hour unpaid lunch. That 1 extra hour a day is 5 hours per week and 22-23 hours per month. We value your time away for the center.
Our focus will be a social emotional curriculum. This is to help children learn these important coping, social and emotional skills at an early age when it will make a lasting impact.

Minimum Qualifications: -Ability to read the same stories over and over again -Knowledge of Children's Media/Characters
·High School Diploma for Assistant Teacher/Support, ECE education required for Lead Teachers.
·CPR Certification
-One-Three year minimum experience as a primary or secondary caretaker in a child care center or childcare facility preferred for teaching positions
·Strong communication skills -Ability to use basic technology - Tablet/App/Email
·Perform essential functions of the position with patience.
·Ability to organize child care activities and implement programs.
·Be familiar with state licensing requirements regarding training and certification.
