Astronics Test Systems is looking for a Program Manager to join our team. This PM will develop and oversee execution of Integrated Master Schedule, prepare regular reports to customer, attend regular status meetings and milestone meetings, organize content for shipment to customer for all milestone meetings and First Article Inspection (FAI).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate technical data, schematics, bills of material, detailed mechanical drawings. Perform testability reviews. Interface with customer on daily basis. Support impromptu and scheduled technical reviews at customer site. This includes developing technical drawings and proposals in response to customer requests.

Manage customer sub tier suppliers, including tracking receipt of key technical data and daily interface to their contracts people.

Develop customer confidence in Astronics products being utilized in contract execution. Develop future business opportunities with the customer.

Generates and implements program/project plans that include the following information:

Schedule, WBS, manloading, work authorization packages
Department budgets
Risk analysis
Participation in make/buy decisions
Cost and schedule tracking
Records and documentation
Corrective actions
Manages proposals on major pursuits
Functions as point-of-contact of program issues and maintains customer relationships
Supports purchasing/subcontracts department
Supports contracts department
Completes and presents monthly program status.

Education/Experience:
BSEE, BSCE, or advanced technical degree is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered,

proven ability to work, lead and direct others.

Bilingual in Japanese and English is preferred.

Computer Skills:
Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, Microsoft Project

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises several employees in several departments in a matrix organization. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
