Electrical Commissioning Specialist - Night Shift - (1804620)
McDermott's Engineering and Construction Division has an opening for a Electrical Commissioning Specialist - Night Shift, to be site based at one of our multi-billion dollar EPC projects here in the U.S. Responsible for the supporting site execution of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up and Operations of an LNG facility.
Support of commissioning and start-up of an assigned scope of work at a McDermott LNG Liquefaction Plant project including specific complex deliverables such as development of a detailed commissioning and startup plan and schedule.
Responsible for Electrical Commissioning technician and supervision of electrical craft personnel.
Support commissioning team in both home office and field, coordinate final handover to client and provides assistance to client operations for the startup and performance testing of facilities.
Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermott’s end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction. Ensures effective communications between engineering, construction and project management.
High School Diploma (or equivalent GED)
Minimum 3 years’ in an Electrical Commissioning Technician or Supervisor role in a petrochemical, power, refinery or LNG environment.
Minimum 5 years' of large project with electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Experience with electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning including low, medium, and high voltage.
Experience with energizing units.
Experience supervising craft personnel.
Technical Certification or Associates level degree
Experience with electrical commissioning and LOTO/PTW
Prefer experience in LNG process operations but will consider those with experience in other processes such as Ethylene, Gas Plants, or Air Separation Units
Prefer experience in LNG or Cryogenic Operations that include Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up and Operations.
Able to effectively communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to engineers and non-engineers
Experience in home office for systemization, design reviews, procedure and/or manual development
Standard MS Office software (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Has a good understanding of parallel completions with construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to lead meetings and presentations
The position will be located on site in Hackberry, LA.
