Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.
Our position is for an information security centered lead SQL application developer within Wells Fargo’s Information and Cyber Security division. Our organization is responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of applications that support multiple Information and Cyber Security business functions including vulnerability management, SaaS security, information security financial management and remote access.
In this position, you will lead the overall scrum team as well as lead overall application technical design, development and support. Our applications are largely data driven and so you will be typically leveraging Microsoft SQL for day to day work and may need to occasionally work in Splunk. Strong communication and collaboration skills will be needed in order to collaborate with data owners from across the bank to integrate their data feeds and to collaborate with peer scrum teams on coding standards and cross functional training. Will serve as primary point of contact for business product owner to conduct application planning and lead daily standups and Scrum ceremonies. Will provide oversight to ensure that application development for Scrum team is adhering to corporate coding and SDLC quality standards.
10+ years of information security applications and systems experience
7+ years of SQL experience
7 + years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning
7 + years of database security, database administration experience, or a combination of both
5 + years of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring
Expert knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies, including Information Security Frameworks, Standards, and best practices
Ability to manage highly complex issues and negotiate solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of an organization; including at the executive level
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry
Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) products
Other Desired Qualifications
Strong Agile software development with experience serving as scrum master
Regular Expression (Regex) search creation experience
Experience with Angular or other front end technologies
Application and software development supporting information security functions
Technical lead experience, mentoring more junior developers and establishing technical standards
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
