Information Technology Contract Specialist

Responsible for providing support and oversight for all 3rd party IT supplier contracts. Act as liaison between client and suppliers to implement fulfillment of contracts. Monitor performance of contracts for conformance to contractual terms and conditions. Provide reports to management related to the contract; assist with the development of policies and procedures, forms, reports and other contract monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates and maintains 3rd party IT contracts with IT business owners in concert with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. Reviews and interprets contract language and reimbursement methods of contract agreements for IT stakeholders.

Identifies process improvement opportunities, determines optimal workflows, policies and procedures to simplify and reduce cycle times or improve supplier performance and service outcomes.

Supports IT stakeholders and works with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to evaluate quotations or proposals, vendor responses, and assists in negotiation of contracts and agreements on assigned commodities to ensure IT business requirements are met.

Works closely with internal clients to determine internal requirements and develops metrics to track performance, contract compliance and usage. Provides analyses and recommendations optimally supporting customer needs through available contract options.

Maintains contractual relationships with internal and external clients and provides guidance relating to contractual obligations while minimizing corporate liability through risk mitigation.

Prepares, organizes and maintains records and files documenting contract performance and compliance to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.

Assists in development and implementation of governance structure and tools (dashboards, etc.) for ongoing management of IT supplier relationships.

Prepare status and activity reports for management review and notify management of contractual issues or problems.

Assist management in planning and developing contract processes and procedures. Participates in reviews of bid documents to ensure compliance with IT goals and outcomes.

Follows Sourcing and Procurement policies and processes to assist in renewal or modification of existing IT contracts in the portfolio.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred; CPM certification or other purchasing education strongly preferred. 5+ years of sourcing events management, contract negotiation and supplier management experience. Experience in sourcing, negotiations and/or IT contract administration.

Exposure to IT technology and processes, either in an application development or infrastructure environment or from acting in a support role to those areas of IT.
