MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center is actively recruiting for a fulltime Human Resource Generalist to join our dedicated team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and Develop New Hire On-Boarding practices and process.
Track the completion of annual performance reviews.
Administer annual performance review process via Talent Manager.
Assist in the execution of New Hire Orientation.
Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.
Assist with New Hire orientation sessions for new employees to explain personnel policies, compensation,and benefit programs.
Maintains and updates HR database including new hires, status changes, terminations,and Personnel l Action Request (PAR).
Preparing statistical summaries and reports (i.e. turnover, performance improvement)
Support communications to all employees and management to insure consistent applications of all HR policies, procedures, and practices.
Acts as subject matter expert in one or more HR functional areas.
Lead HR internal compliance practices while maintaining Joint Commission requirements and regulatory practices.
Performs other duties of a similar or related level and assists with special projects as necessary or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
3-4 year prior experience in a HR specialist role; healthcare industry
Experience in compliance and hr operations preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) preferred About MedStar Health
