Dentistry of the Carolinas - Gastonia is looking for a Patient Front Desk Administrator. The ideal candidate must be very professional in both appearance and manner, as well as cheerful and well spoken. While you will be expected to learn the systems and procedures we have in place, you will also be given the freedom to take responsibility for the position and handle various situations on your own.
Excellent computer skills are a must as you will be expected to learn and be proficient in new software quickly. The job’s biggest challenge is handling the large volume of patient check-ins and phone calls. Full disclosure here: Occasionally some patients are not as polite and courteous as we would like them to be. It will be your job to help soothe those situations and maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone who wants to become truly invested in Dentistry of the Carolinas and has a drive to succeed. It’s more than being knowledgeable and getting job done – you must be able to make a genuine connection with patients. Being robotic or negative will not work in this position which often includes intense multi-tasking with no downtime. Intelligence and maturity is required.
As the front desk administrator, you are the face of our company and always on display. Constantly checking your cell phone or having personal conversations in front of patients will not work. However, if you’re up for the challenge, you will find a rewarding opportunity with a great team and company that has more than 28 years of service in our community, is poised for growth and offers great benefits.
