As a Blackbird Contract Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner , you will:
- Efficiently and accurately provide patient psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and medication management to children, adolescents, and young adults under the direction of the Director, Clinical Services.
- Determine and create appropriate treatment plans, provide patient education and consultation for new and existing Blackbird patients
- Comply with minimum clinical time expectations per week after onboarding and acclimation to the role
- Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests, including digital and lab results
- Attend and participate in weekly team and supervisor clinical meetings
- Partner with administrative team to handle refills, prior authorizations, records, and rescheduling
- Communicate and engage with other healthcare professionals and families when appropriate
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress and maintain thorough patient records
Requirements:
- We are seeking PMHNP's/APRN''s who can work between 4pm and 8pm on weekdays and potentially any hours between 8am and 7pm on weekends. This role is perfect for professionals looking for flexible, remote work opportunities
- Available to work a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week

- Experience working with children and families preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with patients, provider partners and colleagues
- Open to professional and clinical feedback and interested in working in a supporting and collegial clinical environment
- Must value operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment
- Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
Qualifications
- Active PMHNP/APRN/CRNP license in the state of employment
- Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program
- A minimum of 1 year experience working independently in the role of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner is required.
- A minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescents or young adults under any nursing license is required.
- Board Certification by ANCC or AANP
- PMHNP-BC certification
- DEA license to prescribe
- State Prescriptive Authority License
