The Human Resources Associate is a key member of the HR Consulting and Delivery group and will operate within the newly created HR Shared Services function. The team will include a three HR Associates and a Manager, HR Shared Services. S/he will have the opportunity to work across the HR team to provide critical support and deliver high quality service with a focus on detail. This position will act as a point of contact for many HR-related requests. The role requires the ability and willingness to complete daily tactical and transactional responsibilities in a proactive and collaborative way supporting our managers and employees. This is a true generalist role and an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their operational HR expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative, learning environment.
Specifically, s/he will:
Serve as a contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR programs, policies and procedures with a focus on using and updating Employee Central to enable the ease of self-service for employees
Monitor and respond to the HR and Benefits inbox in a timely way, with quality responses, providing excellent service to our internal clients
Prepare and process employment changes for staff related to events such as, termination, transfers, or promotions by working with HR and managers to complete various MSS transactions
Process and maintain work authorization documentation and employee files by collaborating with employees, managers, and HR team members
Prepare routine immigration documentation and follow-up with employees
Partner closely with the HR team to refine HR processes and ensure consistent application of process, policy and procedure
Act as a resource to employees throughout the employee lifecycle from on-boarding to termination
Deliver new hire orientation and follow-up to ensure a smooth on-boarding process in partnership with other HR professionals and other key functional stakeholders
Manage the employee exit and checkout process and procedures including communication, reporting, and follow-up with payroll adhering to deadlines
Stay current with changes in employment law and emerging trends; ensure compliance with any legal or regulatory requirements
Serve as an administrative resource for the HR Consulting and Delivery team providing ad hoc reporting and information tracking, examples include monitoring and following up on fixed term and probationary employees, reorganization planning/tracking, and PTO usage reporting and follow-up
Ad hoc support of recruiting process
The ideal candidate will demonstrate and provide a wide range of experience, skills and capabilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or a business-related field and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Requires a minimum of 1+ years of HR administration experience
Basic knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations
Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and strong attention to detail
Desire to collaborate with team members across several organizations, ask questions, and research to understand how to best respond to internal clients
Proven ability to modify and adjust individual approach and delivery to fit specific situations
Basic employee relations experience; working in a global environment is a plus
Proven ability to succeed in a service-oriented environment; and experience working with diverse populations
Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and multi-task in a highly dynamic environment
Able to handle a high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
Ability to be agile and navigate change and the judgement to prioritize and negotiate deliverables
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Office 365; Oracle Fusion experience a plus
Strong communication and consulting skills
