We are looking for a Director of Sales Operations and Support who will be responsible for the onboarding, training, management and career development of the Sales Support Specialist team. In addition, the DSS will closely align with the Chief Commercial Sales Officer on projects, strategy, training, product development, pipeline reporting, GMC presentations, conferences and Blue Plan initiatives. This Director will have multiple leadership responsibilities in the organization to help the Corporate Sales and Service team achieve targeted growth initiatives.
Hire, train and develop Sales Support Specialist team. Continually monitor team and assist with alignment of seasoned Support Specialists across regional territories based on experience and skill set.
Drives Commercial Sales Project Initiatives to ensure completion in alignment with department goals.
Conduct complex reporting and analysis in order to successfully forecast and plan as well as extract and compile dashboards and reports to track KPIs over time.
Develop key performance metrics to measure activities most impacted by sales productivity.
Identifies and recommends possible corporate sales and service process improvements and partners with the right people to get it done or on the project timeline.
Leads pipeline reporting for both new and existing business and assists in development of content related to Commercial GMC materials, updates, etc.
Ownership and execution of Commercial SFDC strategy.
Ownership of new and existing business quote processes and efficiencies.
Manages Intern plan for Sales Operations team.
Lead for all Sales Operations trainings, meetings, conferences and communication processes within Commercial Sales.
Acts as thought leader by helping to develop and execute product and process development opportunities through close alignment with the RSD’s, RSM’s and SS.
Drives content and training for weekly sales meetings. Manages and distributes agenda for each call. Organizes presenters from different function areas.
Works collaboratively with all functional areas within GeoBlue to facilitate all Sales Operations growth and retention initiatives.
Closely aligns with the RSD’s on large opportunities, developing strategy and aligning internal departments on improved/enhanced capabilities and services. Drives GeoBlue to close gaps and review ways to continuously improve our value proposition within the evolving global marketplace.
Review and approve team expense reports.
Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree (Business or Marketing) or equivalent experience.
3-5 years in a sales representative role.
3-5 years in a role heavy on relationship management.
Experience leading people or teams.
Strong managerial, leadership and business office skills.
Effective communications, strong client service and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability to change priorities and deadlines; ability to work in a team setting.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Internet explorer.
Experience in Salesforce or similar CRMs is highly preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly and on time even under stressful conditions.
Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
