Description:
Exhibiting excellent customer service/ShowService and outstanding interpersonal communication skills, maintains reservation lists, direct patrons to seats that are appropriate size for group in restaurant and bar area seats, provides menus, and answers questions. Host provides a positive interaction in the front of house for patrons as their first service experience.

Major Functions:
Provides excellent show service by greeting patrons, welcoming, and determining dining party needs. Quickly and happily seats patrons according to their party needs and server availability.
Answers customer questions in person and via telephone on various topics related to the Star Bar and movie theatre.
Understands and provides information for customers on show schedules, general movie information and theatre systems.
Organizes workload by tracking tables in use, and all servers work flow. Provides current information on available tables, seats appropriately, and maintains in-depth knowledge of up-to-date seating information for patrons.
Maintains reservation list as needed and informs patrons of available service time if a wait exists.
Ensures washrooms are well stocked and clean for patrons. Ensures the washrooms are checked frequently, and that the front entrance area is stocked, clean and free from clutter or distractions.
Works with restaurant/bar staff to maintain compliance with established policies and guidelines
Special projects as requested
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication in person and over the phone. Has the ability to ensure customer satisfaction
Observant
Excellent attendance record; ability to work with minimal unplanned absences
Functional mathematical, computer, cash handling, and reading skills
Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits. Has full knowledge of the restaurant’s menu
The ability to bend, squat, twist, push, pull, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted for stocking and cleaning.
The ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, including going up and down stairs
