As a Dispatcher you will be a key member of the Badger State Western, Inc. team and as part of the dispatch team, accountable for the successful relationships with customers and drivers. Dispatchers work in an office environment; candidates must be familiar with Microsoft and McLeod Software and possess basic computer skills.
Dispatchers must personally excel in customer service, communication, organization, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Experience with problem solving, recognizing, and understanding priorities and demonstrating good judgement and decision making is important. As part of the dispatch team, you will seek guidance as necessary from teammates and the Dispatch Leader, offering suggestions and implementing solutions to individual problems that arise.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years dispatch experience in an LTL or TL environment. Basic knowledge of the Hours-of-Service rules, truck, and trailer capacity, and refrigerated freight requirements are essential. Candidates are required to possess a High School diploma or GED and must have a valid driver's license.
