The successful candidate will be an experienced software solution architect having performed both functional and development roles in complex enterprise software at large organizations, preferably in the Pharma, Bio-Tech, or Medical Device industries. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills and work well with internal customers and software vendor resources. The successful candidate will be a disciplined self-starter and will work with developers (both employees and consultants), system administrators, product team personnel supporting ongoing operations of the Model N Revenue Management suite of applications. This role combines software development and customization skills with operational oversight and the ability to respond appropriately to both project tasks and operational support issues
Interprets/authors business requirements, functional and technical design documents for projects.
Architect and implement solutions for requirements across Model-N suite. Provides technical assessment for project requests submitted by customers. Recommends how Model N can be best changed, designed and/or configured to meet customer needs.
Undertake lead technical/BA/Test responsibilities in both patch deployment and major system upgrade activities such as evaluating/upgrading customization code and ensuring base package deployment is deployed providing seamless operation upon go-live.
Well versed in the construction of reports, interfaces, data conversions, and customization or extensions to the Model N Revenue Management suite of applications.
Ensures systems changes are tested properly.
Work with software vendor for issue resolution and support patch deployment activities.
Provide Level-3 support for ticket escalations requiring technical resolution and troubleshooting by understanding Model-N platform with respect to data, system jobs, data flow and web services.
Work with the vendor to provide performance improvement custom solutions to enhance system capabilities.
Follows IT compliance and team procedures to initiate change control of system changes to be implemented.
In depth SME level support to ensure the daily and month/year end Model-N /SAP data interfaces are completed and period closing data is sent to stakeholders.
Document issues resolution with adequate details to support system audits.
Provide after hour support as per operational support needs.
Bachelor’s degree or greater in computer-related field.
Experienced with complex enterprise system architecture and internet based application design, complex data processing and integration to ERP systems.
Experienced in end to end application development and support tasks, working closely with both business teams and IT teams. Candidate must have experience gained from performing a functional role such as business analyst and a technical role such as technical analyst/system analyst.
Overall 8+ Programmer Analyst/Business Analyst/Test Lead/Solution Architect experience with Enterprise Software Company.
4+ years of solid experience with RDBMS, particularly Oracle SQL and PL/SQL required.
7+ years of Model N(Revitas/I-Many) experience required in a Techno-Functional role with focus on at least one or two of the areas – Commercial, Government Pricing and Medicaid. This position requires technical knowledge.
3+ years of development/support experience with Web based technologies, e/g/ JAVA, HTML and XML, using Eclipse IDE.
7+ years of Life Sciences business processes and applications required.
Development experience with Cognos Reporting Studio or similar reporting tools.
Experience with applications deployed using Web Sphere Application Server or JBOSS EAP required.
Exposure to ticketing tools such as Remedy, JIRA or Solution Manager.
