The person hired for the position of 3M Oral Care Dental Practice Specialist must be energetic, creative, effective and influential with dental supply distribution, dentist and staff and will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
Individual must have high energy and be self-motivated
The ability to train, motivate, and lead a group of dentists to grow territory sales
Responsible for achieving annual sales goals and expanding market presence within the assigned territory
The ability to work within a team environment to support peers within the local market
Interact regularly with dental professionals, dental labs, and distributor sales reps to meet sales forecast
Performs independent sales work with minimal supervision, dealing with issues as they arise and making necessary adjustments.
Ability and experience in working with large institutional accounts, including school, hospital nd public health facilities.
The person hired for the position of Dental Practice Sales Representative will cover a sales territory that includes the city of Boston and North/South Shore areas and will travel up to 25% of the time for meetings, training and other business activities . This position is not eligible for relocation benefits and the Sales Representative must be based within this territory. The candidate must reside in the territory.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Growing territory to exceed sales forecast
Implementing sales skills to introduce solutions to customers
Managing all territory responsibilities including distribution, end user accounts, budgets, travel, and reporting
Supports all necessary functions of the position which includes evening and weekend business as needed
Willingness to go beyond basic requirements of position
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Sales in a private, public, government or military environment
Current, Valid Drivers license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position
BS Degree in business or a medical/health care related discipline
Five (5) or more years successful dental industry sales experience
Experience with maintaining and growing a multi-million dollar territory with 250 or more accounts. A history of proven sales accomplishment in growing business.
Proven talent in developing customer loyalty
Experience with selling through distribution channels and directly to end users
Health care industry related experience including dental manufacturers and distributors; dental labs; hygienists; dental assistants; pharmaceutical; medical device
Knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape in health care products, prices and policies.
Knowledge and understanding of professional selling process and skills
Advanced Territory Management skills including analytics, strategic planning, prioritization, and tactical execution utilizing all available resources to maximize results.
Experienced with Microsoft Office application software, on-line sales support systems and Internet savvy research capabilities
Experience using Customer Relations Management (CRM) software (i.e. Siebel, Oracle, SAP CRM)
Experience with Lotus Notes and/or Outlook email software
Ability to collaborate and share knowledge to benefits others
Ability to solve problems with a positive attitude in a competitive environment
Ability to negotiate and close sales opportunities by presenting 1:1 and both small and large groups using persuasive verbal and written communication skills
Ability to tailor sales presentation and messaging around customer verbal and non-verbal cues
Ability to consistently meet and exceed sales target
Ability to interact with a professional demeanor at all levels of an organization and established business relationships within the territory

Sales Territory: Territory includes the city of Boston and surrounding suburbs
Travel: Requires field travel daily and up to 25% overnight travel for business, meetings and training purposes.
