Housekeeping Aide

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring a high standard of housekeeping services in the common areas of the facility and in the resident's apartments in accordance with company standards, guidelines and regulations by performing the following duties.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works as part of the staff team to ensure that a high quality of support services, are provided to the residents.

Performs complete cleaning of resident apartments every 2 weeks which includes: vacuuming/dusting; cleaning toilets, sinks, shower; takes out trash; wipes down counters/doors; sweeps/mops bathroom floors, and other miscellaneous cleaning as needed; reports any maintenance needs to maintenance staff and all other duties as explained in “How to Clean an Apartment” procedure.

Performs partial cleaning of resident apartments every 2 weeks which includes: cleaning toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, vacuuming, and all other duties as explained in “How to Clean an Apartment” procedure.

Responsible for documenting and maintaining a housekeeping schedule. Alternating scheduled partial and complete cleaning duties every other week.

Follows schedules for special cleaning.

Cleans empty units after residents move-out and participates in bi-annual and annual apartment cleanings.

Adheres to and participates in the Health and Safety Procedures and Policies of the facility and performs all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Keeps an inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, and places orders for supplies with the Manager.

Follows policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook and the Company’s Manual.

Conducts visual safety inspections throughout the work day; identifies and reports unsafe conditions and correct as needed.

Possess full knowledge and compliance of Chapter DHS 89 (Residential Care Apartment Complexes) and Chapter DHS 83 (Community-Based Residential Facilities *if applicable).

Responds to all emergencies in accordance to the policy and procedures as well as provides emergency care within the scope of practice.

Report to Manager any resident’s behavior or item that may pose potential danger.

Attend all Staff Meetings and Educational Events that are mandatory.

Report incidents/injuries to supervisor.

Incorporate safe behaviors into daily work life.

Maintain a professional presence at all times.

Be on time and ready to work when your shift begins.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or other Manager.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $9.00 to $11.00 /hour
