Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate / Equipment Operator fulfills and processes orders, accepts incoming shipments, and oversees the general organization of the warehouse.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading freight in an efficient and safe manner.
- Picking orders with RF gun for shipment and assemble various types of indoor/outdoor furniture to be shipped.
- Operate material handling equipment, reach truck/picker, in a safe and efficient manner as required.
- Maintains an accurate running inventory.
- Restocks supplies and inventory; places blanket and special orders as needed.
- Accepts, verifies, inspects, and records all deliveries according to policy.
- Records, reports, and returns defective items.
- Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area.
- Handles complaints related to shipments; notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to Operate material handling equipment, reach truck/picker, in a safe and efficient manner as required.
- Proficient with RF Scanning.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
Required Education, Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
- Must be able to lift, handle, and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work in varying weather environments.
