Job Description: Senior Executive Assistant (SEA) to the President and CEO, Britt Music and Arts Festival

The SEA will have the opportunity to work closely with the President & CEO and will be required to gain a comprehensive understanding of the inner workings of the Britt organization. The SEA will provide Administrative Support to the CEO including a wide variety of Development duties.

While reporting directly to the President and CEO, the SEA provides a broad range of complex administrative services to the President. Work is of a highly sensitive and confidential nature and requires clear professional judgement to carry out Britt’s mission. The position requires fullawareness of the President and CEO's priorities, must maintain confidentiality at all times and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Britt functions.

Full-time (FTE). Position requires occasional evening and weekend work

Pay: Competitive Salary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.

Administrative Support to the CEO:

  • Performs a broad range of administrative tasks for the President & CEO
  • Assists with Policy Administration, which includes reviewing and formatting all policies and saving in appropriate database for all employees to access as appropriate. Track to insure policies are updated
  • Communicates with internal and external constituencies regarding various matters and composes and edits correspondence and other documentation, often requiring discretion; follows-up as necessary
  • Record all meetings led by the President & CEO, and produce minutes for review by the appropriate Chair and CEO. After finalized save in appropriate directory for access during annual audit process
  • Maintains databases for invitations and thank you letters
  • Manage the Membership appeal and database
  • Assist with Development initiatives as assigned by the CEO. Such activities include but are not limited to managing social functions and fundraising events, developing and maintaining spreadsheets, table seating, working registration and auctions.


  • Four-year College Degree (or comparable experience) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant
  • Non-profit and/or Development experience is required
  • Stable Employment History
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required
  • Proficiency in database CRM system preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with a wide variety of constituencies
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate at a high level both orally and in writing
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical skills
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • High-level writing skills are required. Examples of writing will be requested.
