The Selective Removal Products (SRP) business unit is a dynamic, growth business unit in the Semiconductor Product Group. SRP is looking for an Operating Expense (primarily R&D) analyst. This role is critical to analyzing program investments, developing Opex quarterly plans & playbooks and ensuring spending levels meet committed levels.

Major Responsibilities

This position requires an individual who is comfortable working with senior managers and first line managers to business partner for rigorous OPEX forecasting, prioritizing & tracking. Duties include:

Interfacing with senior management in the business unit to drive operating expense management and prioritization across the SRP business unit
Lead and drive SRP operating expense budgets by engaging senior management in business, engineering and operations departments
Drive SRP project / waterfall analyses and partner with operations & Center of Excellence spending analyst team to drive actual spending to targeted levels
Provide value-add participation in the quarterly update of R&D program business case NPV models
Partner within finance to drive and implement best practices for financial tools and processes for financial cycles and analytical tools
Ensure data accuracy and help management team develop and tell the story of the business unit using that information (forecasting/budgeting, financial close, balance sheet integrity)
Qualifications

Qualifications & Preferences

Very strong Excel skills, including modeling
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Interpersonal skills to engage with partners to understand key issues, develop recommendations and implement actions to improve the business result
Experience in operational and P&L analysis and business partnering with the operation top improve business performance
Basic accounting knowledge
Other valued characteristics – Assertiveness, initiative, communication, curiosity about the business, team oriented, collaborative
Experience in semiconductor equipment or other manufacturing enterprises
Experience

3 - 6 years relevant experience
MBA degree a plus
