As the Director of Marketing, you'll bring a strategic, data-driven approach to advancing the business identifying and championing opportunities for growth. Your collaborative, results-focused mentality will include driving innovative digital solutions and ideas, supervising and contributing to the execution and presentation of marketing performance deliverables, providing guidance and development for the marketing division, growing existing client and vendor relationships and serving as a positive and energetic leader during a time of exciting growth.

You'll also provide leadership before, during and after all marketing plans are deployed to ensure that proper metrics are set up, data is collected succinctly, creativity is fostered and results are converted into insights—with a clear action plan and path for improvement. What you will do

Our progressive client is seeking an adaptable problem solver who believes change is the only constant in life (because it is). Although you might wear multiple hats on any given day, we’ve compiled the most important responsibilities:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of client’s services and value propositions to develop and implement an integrated strategic (internal and external) communications plan to advance the business' brand identity; broaden external awareness of capabilities and increase the visibility of its offerings across key stakeholder audiences
  • Manage and lead all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets including initiatives related to managing company website / SEO, marketing automation, SEM / PPC, social media, display / retargeting and others
  • Recommend and lead implementation of marketing technologies and vendors that will help drive efficiencies and profitability; conduct A/B tests across channels to continuously optimize campaign and channel performance
  • Build exceptional team trust and collaboration through team building and individual development; provide input and guidance into talent acquisition, staffing strategies and retention activities; develop relationships and maintain frequent interaction with other team members to support open lines of communication and new ideas, striving for ‘best-in-class’ results
  • Enthusiastically represent client’s digital solutions to the community and prospective clients; develop thought-leadership opportunities including public speaking, trend reports and published articles
What you need to have

Being successful is the goal, starting from the moment you walk through the doors. And while our client will be your #1 cheerleader and help you along the way, in order to make a substantial impact you’ll need to have the following:

  • 7+ years of digital, and/or marketing leadership with a proven track record of increasing ROI
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or similar area of study
  • Experience integrating digital marketing with customer relationship management and marketing automation platforms (i.e., Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, or similar)
  • Experience with paid marketing and ROI analytics (i.e. Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Nielsen, Facebook Insights, Optimizely, Tableau, Looker)
  • Experience leading a marketing team of 5 or more (with at least 1 team member outside area of expertise)
  • Experience with cross-channel and/or full-funnel strategies, including traditional and digital advertising, direct response programs, email, website development, mobile, search, eCommerce and social media
  • Persuasive, energetic, ambitious, confident leadership style
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities
  • Exceptional people skills, both internally and with clients, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation abilities
  • Innate curiosity, insight into human behavior, and an instinct for popular culture
