The Director of Litigation & Claims Management assists the General Counsel and the Legal Department in the coordination and tracking of all litigation matters and claims management.

Job Responsibilities:
Receives, tracks, preserves and organizes service of all process, claims, settlements, subpoenas and other matters (collectively, “Litigation Matters”)
Creates and maintains a highly organized and clean filing and matter management system for all Litigation Matters, including diarizing of important dates, creating alerts and ticklers and maintaining shared Litigation & Risk Management Drive
Solicits timely updates from attorneys and other stakeholders regarding all Litigation Matters for timely review with General Counsel
Coordinates quarterly risk management session, including working with insurance brokers to prepare materials for the session; regularly coordinates with insurance brokers to ensure proper reporting and other matters
Creates and maintains a highly organized system for tracking reservation of rights letters and other matters as designated by the General Counsel
Regularly coordinates with Chief Labor, Employment and Compliance Counsel regarding employee claims and compliance matters
Regularly coordinates with Chief Division Operations and Contracts counsel regarding customer demands and early stage customer complaints
Works with the General Counsel to finalize Legal Department Litigation Matter procedures, claims handling policies and document preservation policies
Generates reports of all Litigation Matters as required by General Counsel
Provides all other administrative support for Litigation Matters requested or required by the General Counsel and Legal Department

Excellent, advanced organizational skills, ability to develop and work under tight timelines

Excellent data management skills, including:
Proficient in use of computer and MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent reporting and oral communication skills; Professional demeanor and commitment to customer service
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all tasks assigned
Keen interest in Lean Six Sigma, process improvement, and data management
Ability to follow directions of counsel

Education and Experience:
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s Degree
At least 5 years’ prior experience in fast pace in-house legal department in litigation and risk management
Experience in insurance claims and/or workers compensation preferred
