So, what will the Communication Specialist at Terrestris do?

Specifically, this role serves to develop written and visual Communication Services for the Information Technology Division. You will develop
and implement outreach/communication activities by developing and compiling results/feedback from surveys, focus groups, and other engagements.
What does a typical day look like for the Communication Specialist?
You will:
- Format and edit interagency broadcast messages as requested, must be delivered within 24 hours of receipt in the format requested, approximately 40 messages monthly

Create and review templates for documents to ensure they are standardized across all ITD within the timeline requested. In the format requested

Develop and consolidate information on emerging technologies and procedures into SOPs or written documents within the timeline identified when tasked in the Microsoft Office format requested

Builds and edits and slide presentation for ITD as requested within the timeline identified when tasked

Builds and edits documents for ITD as requested within the timeline identified when tasked

Create, edit, track, publish, and standardize organizational documents to include policies, procedures, and other authoritative documents such as
memorandums -
Maintain in print and electronic media

Develop and maintain multimedia communication platforms ensuring information and visual designs are in compliance with USDA Web Standards and Style Guide
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the person we're looking for if you have:
- A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g.Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems is a plus

Knowledge of copywriting and editing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail are needed

Proven experience in web design and content production
