Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty is looking for 3 enthusiastic and motivated veterinary technicians who are ready to help support and lead our team in our vision to make a positive impact on every patient and family in need of our care. Highlights of this position include:
· Direct oversight of technician workflow and support staff collaboration to assist our clients and patients
· Collaborating with Hospital Director and Medical Director, as well as DVM team to determine technician staffing needs
· Aid in recruiting by conducting initial interviews and coordinating working interviews for candidates
· Creating schedules for technicians and assistants to optimize client and patient care
· Conduct team performance evaluations
· Conduct one on one check-ins and feedback sessions with team members
· Implement performance improvement plans and provide coaching as necessary
· Assist with training and development needs of technicians and assistants by providing mentorship and oversight in collaboration with Training Coordinator
· Work in conjunction with fellow supervisors to support and improve hospital processes
· Manage and implement change and innovation in a positive and engaging manner to support team morale
· Collaborate with leadership team to improve operating procedures and support hospital growth and advancement
· Help to create the best possible client and patient experience by receiving direct client feedback and coaching the team toward greatness!

Required Experience:
· Graduation from an accredited veterinary technology program and/or state license (RVT or equivalent) is preferred, but not required
· At least 2 years of experience in specialty or emergency clinical setting- the strong candidate will have lead technician or supervisory experience
· Candidate must be able to work up to half time in a clinical setting to fill in as needed in their given department
· Experience creating fair and equitable schedules
· Experience with client care and communications
· Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast paced/high intensity atmosphere

We offer curbside services as necessary and at client request. We follow CDC guidelines for isolation and quarantine, and take additional measures to prevent spread of infection within the hospital. Masks are currently optional for staff and clients.
