Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to provide support to the corporate office located in Ijamsville, MD.
Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data in our Payroll Network system for about 170 employees. Typically uses automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provides general ledger support within our Unanet accounting system.
Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related and to ensure effective accounting support.
Maintaining timesheets and making needed adjustments or corrections as a system administrator.
Working with payroll provider to insure all taxes are being filed on company's behalf.
Will work with accounting department to provide necessary schedules and reports during the annual audit.
Monitor timesheet submission metrics.
Assists employees with various payroll questions and issues that may arise.
Provide HR project support as needed.
Bachelor's degree, preferably within Accounting, Business, or Human Resources.
Minimum 3 years payroll experience in US, with general knowledge of how Human Resource functions impact payroll and basic knowledge of relevant statutory requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proactive, service-oriented mind-set.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience with Payroll Network and Unanet helpful, but not required.
