About the Team
You will report to the Senior Manager of Analytics & Insights to lead an existing team of data scientists and business analysts. You will provide an environment that fosters success for employees which encompasses transparency, empowerment, mentoring, and the creation of an engaging culture.
About the Role
You will be a department and agency subject matter expert in business analytics, business intelligence, financial/logistics modeling, and performance metrics. You will ensure value and continuous improvement of the Lottery's Analytics Team by mentoring and empowering your team and consulting with decision-makers across all levels of the agency to promote agency-wide data literacy and data-driven decision-making.
You Will:
- Apply Lottery Management Core Values and Expectations in performing daily activities. Ensure conduct embodies the principles of fairness, integrity, security, and honesty. Support and integrate into their work the Lottery's commitment to: Responsible Gambling, DEIB, and a Culture of Safety
- Set and achieve clear standards related to building business and advanced analytics, financial/logistics modeling, and performance metrics expertise and activities.
- "Lead from behind," encouraging and guiding team members to continuously explore creative solutions, partner with stakeholders, and grow as analysts.
- Consult with partners across all departments and levels of the agency to lead and delegate the evaluation, analysis, and performance monitoring of business models, products, features, sales channels, equipment, and services.
- Provide data-driven expertise across the agency. Promote agency-wide data literacy, data self-service, and opportunities to strengthen data-driven decision-making throughout the company.
- Partner with IT's Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team to ensure sound data lifecycle management – from data ingest and preparation (EIM) to data analysis, sharing, and use (Analytics).
- Provide leadership in promoting the value and growth of the department's market intelligence program that combines analytics, market research, third-party data, data storytelling and visualization in answering business questions.
- Collaborate with Senior Manager, Analytics and Insights and Manager, IT Data in investigating internal and external resources, technology, budget, and timing related to delivering on new Analytics program strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience in leading and growing business analytics, data science, and performance measurement programs. Three (3) years of experience must be supervisory or management experience; OR
- Eight (8) years of experience in leading and growing business analytics, data science, and performance measurement programs. Three (3) years of experience must be supervisory or management experience.

Pay: $96,864.00 - $154,980.00 per year
