Full Job Description
The Architect is part of the project team and is responsible for managing and directing activities with architectural design professionals and the technical design team. As a leader, the Architect shall be responsible for external client facing activities and internal project delivery, and technical execution with a focus on quality, scope, budget and schedule. The Architect will assist with business development efforts and client facing activities by partnering with other business leaders on a variety of business activities. The Architect shall possess strong business acumen and technical knowledge to engage with a strong technical team. This position will have opportunities to be involved with many industry sector projects including, but not limited to:
Energy / Power / Utilities
Food & Consumer Products
Pharma / Bio / R&D
Refining / Industrial Gas
Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the design, technical and management interface on assigned projects.
Develops and monitors project engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts including Middough Work Process tools.
Reviews project/architectural deliverables for compliance with accepted design principles, company standards and customer contract specifications.
Develops and maintains monthly project status reports and executes engineering change authorizations (ECA), as required.
Works directly with client to market, scope, estimate and execute architectural-based single and multi-discipline consulting (T&M) work on a continuous basis.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited University
Registered Architect with 10-15 years’ experience required
Generates drawings using AutoCAD and with advanced REVIT skills
Rendering capabilities (software related)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CSI Masterspec Specification editing
Knowledge of ANSI, cGMP, FDA, FM Global & NFPA standards
Demonstrated communication skills and coordination with pertinent engineering disciplines
Ability to perform Architectural workflow from Programing through Construction Documents and Construction Administration services
Knowledge of the IBC and the ability to recognize hazards and life safety

When working outside Middough’s office, appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by Middough and/or Client, as required.
