Food and Beverage Director

This position provides a unique, opportunity for a candidate with strong operational skills.with a combination of outstanding communication and leadership skills. Must have a passion for excellence in service, an eye for detail.

III. Job Duties

  • Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented
  • Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met
  • Establishes quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department
  • Develops a first class beverage program to include: updating of wine lists, bottle/glass wine sales promotions, extensive bar products and enhancing the wine club and wine locker program
  • Develops on-going professional development and training programs for service and bar production/service personnel
  • Maintains appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities
  • Audits and processes weekly payroll
  • Candidate Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years in a high volume, 4+ star hotel.

A strong team leader who is detail orientated, creative thinker and has an outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.

Must be able to frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, able to stand and walk for long periods of time and able to kneel and stoop repeatedly. A flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays will be required.

This is NOT an entry level position. Applicable for those with an upscale hotel or private club experience.
