Core Purpose:
Originate and lead people-oriented programs, policies and practices that support the evolving needs of the business and its employees, and that foster a positive, high-performing corporate culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement consistent talent acquisition and retention processes across the organization
  • Act as lead recruiter for all functions across the business, including ownership of sourcing, interviewing and employment offers
  • Drive organizational development and staffing planning discussions with senior leadership
  • Create and deliver employee onboarding and orientation programs, and employee development and training offerings
  • Create and adjust company policies as needed in cooperation with executive team; communicate policies and updates to company employees
  • Monitor policy compliance and address issues as needed
  • Drive organizational development and staffing planning discussions with senior leadership
  • Own employee relations practices, including performance management and improvement processes and investigation of employee complaints or incidents
  • In partnership with the CFO, develop compensation, commission and bonus philosophies and programs
  • Recommend, negotiate and implement company-wide benefits programs
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation and filing practices for all people-related information
  • Create and foster philanthropy programs and initiatives
  • Negotiate with and manage vendors relating to HR including staffing agencies and recruiting and HR tools
  • Ensure legal compliance in all people related practices, including in the areas of policy and hiring and termination
  • Ensure safety of the workforce, including participating in disaster planning and recovery initiatives
  • Manage staffing and people budget
  • Own planning efforts for company sponsored events and activities
  • Cultivate a strong company culture aligned to the vision and values of the organization; demonstrate values through actions that reinforce the desired behaviors
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Strong full-life cycle recruiting skills for both technical and business roles
  • In depth knowledge of HR and talent acquisition laws and regulations
  • Crisp, clear and welcoming communication and coaching skills that translate to all levels of the business
  • Strong attention-to-detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in an often ambiguous environment
  • Understanding of benefits implementation and administration
  • Ability to develop relationships and inspire trust at all levels of the organization
  • Proven integrity and the ability to maintain confidence and confidentiality with information sensitive to and for employees and the business
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving and negotiating abilities
  • At least 3 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a human resources and/or talent acquisition and recruitment leadership role
Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use Macs and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day.
