Job description

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will provide relevant educational and clinical training and support to existing and potential customers, employees, key opinion leaders and community members.

The MSL will provide educational seminars, in-service training events, and additional educational events within active accounts.
The MSL will attend conferences and respond to inquiries from patients and health care providers. These duties may require day and overnight travel both during the week and on weekends.
The MSL will develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders and will partner with PolarityTE team members within and across departments to ensure internal departmental goals are met in a timely and budgetary manner.
The MSL will utilize clinical and industry knowledge to shape company research, development, and commercial strategies and enhance scientific knowledge of external stakeholders.
The MSL will assist the PolarityTE clinical research department in identifying, evaluating, screening and supporting clinical trial research sites.
Additional MSL duties may include collaboration with physicians and clinicians on Clinical Operations initiatives including publications, advisory boards, medical education opportunities, training, and speaker development; providing clinical and scientific input, and training to internal teams as requested; and attendance at appropriate scientific meetings.
The MSL will maintain a strong body of knowledge of emerging scientific information and treatment options in relevant therapeutic areas.

Experience

Required

Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with appropriate clinical background (PA/NP, RN, PT, PharmD, DPM, MD/DO).
Ability to effectively communicate with and educate physician and non-physician providers in small and large group settings.
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Must reside within the territory of coverage.
Preferred

Clinical experience in burn, wound care, surgery, orthopedics or plastic surgery.

Skills

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
Strong customer focus and ability to build effective business relationships.
Excellent interpersonal and project management skills. Capacity to communicate within a team and manage internal communications.
Polished presentation skills.
Strong working knowledge of medical facility operations including value analysis committees and reimbursement structures, quality systems and clinical trials processes.
Ability to build and maintain technical and clinical expertise within the PolarityTE product line.
