Sr. Marketing Manager – Acute Renal Care – Medical Devices
About Baxter’s Acute Renal Care Business Unit
We’re committed to serving as a key Healthcare partner with industry-leading technologies/services, supporting delivery of multi-organ support in the ICU. We partner with Health Care Providers on the front line of intensive care, helping to deliver accurate/effective treatments with confidence.
Baxter has three market leading multi-organ support devices in the US market. Acute Renal also has a robust product pipeline, which will deliver even further innovations in the next several years.
Key influencer, managing multiple medical device systems within the Acute Renal portfolio, including all aspects of downstream/upstream marketing engagement
Collaborate/coordinate a wide selection of internal/external stakeholders, to assure successful systems placement in acute care customer sites, e.g. hospital-based ICU’s
Deliver short-, medium- and long-term product lifecycle plans for all devices/systems within the respective portfolio
Own the Marketing P&L

Day-to-day operational performance to manage product lifecycles, understand supply/ demand market trends, customer needs, internal supply dynamics and incorporate insights into strategies and tactical execution
Marketing is the “hub” the moves the pieces around for solving challenges/harnessing resources for successful customer outcomes
Demand planning/Manufacturing forecasting
Develop short- and longer-term device strategy, e.g. sun-setting older devices/market priming for new releases.
Develop/execute product launches
Manage communications with US/Global internal customers, providing leadership/direction
Manage through ambiguity/simplify the complex to merge with overall business strategy/long-range planning
Measures/reports performance of Acute Renal systems against strategic/operational goals (ROI and KPIs)
Through Sales, Service and QA metrics – deliver a dashboard showing successes, challenges and outlook
Identify trends/insights; optimizes spend/performance accordingly
Manage allocated marketing budget align with strategic/tactical objectives
Develop new/creative business growth strategies.
Understand/apply market sizing and opportunities across multiple devices/develop marketing campaigns/initiatives to meet annual revenue and SGP targets
Collaborates with internal teams to create anchoring content/optimize user experience. Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels/ customer touch points.
Identifies critical conversion annual funnel targets/partner with Sales team to successfully convert opportunities. Key wins drive funnel success and revenue recognition – collaborating closely with commercial partners is key to converting those accounts to meet revenue targets.
Regular dialogue and planning with Baxter’s Global teams to provide key user feedback for NPD and issue resolution
Demonstrated results in building, fostering and managing strong relationships/partnerships with a broad array of stakeholders and clients
Highly analytical/creative with experience in identifying market competitive forces/strategizing on maintaining Baxter’s leading position.
Demonstrated experience/results in marketing research, statistical analysis, financial planning, strategy, project management and budget optimization
Demonstrated ability to track metrics and interpret market research/secondary analysis, translating/communicating into actionable tactics across organizational levels
Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare and regulatory environments, placing controls as appropriate to assure compliance
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred
5+ years’ healthcare, electro-mechanical and/or capital equipment-based device marketing experience
Working knowledge of electromechanical medical devices
Solid knowledge of ICU therapies and/or patient care preferred
Software skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Tableau or other internal reporting platforms
